Green River Ordinance is about to release their major label debut, with Out Of My Hands hitting shelves on February 24, 2009.
The band is composed of singer/guitarist Josh Jenkins, brothers Jamey (guitar) and Geoff Ice (bass), Denton Hunker (drums) and Joshua Wilkerson (guitar). For Out Of My Hands, the band teamed up with producers Mark Endert (Natasha Bedingfield, Maroon 5, Gavin DeGraw), Jordan Critz and Paul Ebersold (Sister Hazel, 3 Doors Down, Third Day) while still keeping the songwriting in-house. The resulting album will be familiar to the band’s hardcore fans while reflecting the additional time and expertise that went into its creation.
Green River Ordinance won Artist of the Year, Rock Album of the Year and Song of the Year (for “Piece It Together”) at the 2006 Fort Worth Music Awards, winning Artist of the Year a second time in 2008. Regional fame landed the band opening slots with artists such as Bon Jovi, Collective Soul, Bowling For Soup, Simple Plan and many others
The band spent a year writing and perfecting the songs and then another eight months recording with producers Mark Endert (Natasha Bedingfield, Maroon 5, Gavin DeGraw), Jordan Critz and Paul Ebersold (Sister Hazel, 3 Doors Down, Third Day). The band has always had a strong vision about what they wanted to do musically, and are thrilled to see it finally come true.
Out Of My Hands builds on the strengths that got the debut album noticed, with accessible, hook-laden songs suitable for cruising—windows down and radio blaring. oh goodness had been so so so so busy lately here is my 400+ disciplinary report i had to e-mail my disciplinary master as a punishment for being frequently late for school. Enjoy somehow you guys will know the reasons for me not blogging all this time.
"Upon receiving my N-Level results, I was left with an option to either further my studies with Higher Nitec or continuing Secondary school. Without hesitation I decided to continue pursuing my studies at Pasir Ris Secondary as I was determined to achieve a decent O-Level certificate.
Promoting to secondary 5 is no bed of roses. There has been an extension in school hours, spending half a day in school five days a week not accustom after ten years of being in the education system. Education wise it was clear that the phase accelerated in terms of catching up on the different subjects we had previously learned. There has been a huge gap in the syllabus we practice. It is obvious that there is no room for dormancy.
Being late had always been a major bad habit I had adopt through the years. Had always detest waking up early in the morning but never the less it was compulsory be it school or even in the working field. Been late a couple of times the beginning of the year, as a result landed myself into detention and were given strict lectures by the disciplinary master and teachers. To correct my problem I had mentally force myself to have early nights in order to be awake and fresh the following morning, giving me sufficient time to prepare for school. A bad start to a new year.
Realized it was not a year for fun and games. Been caught up with lots of piled up work occupying most of my time even after school hours. Hardly had time to catch up with friends out of school, the only time available to grab a breather were during public holidays or the weekends. It definitely helps keep me occupied but at the same time it somehow manage to help me bond even closer with my fellow classmates while meeting them up at coffee joint or cafes while revising for test. Part of my future would depend greatly on this final year preparation for my final paper. I started taking a step by creating a list of task I require to complete by the end of the day first thing in the morning before the start of every morning. I had tried this method for the past 2 weeks and it had seem to work pretty fine giving me a sense of accomplishment after I finalize all my duties.
It has only been past 2 months into the new school term but so much had already took place. Adapting to new changes in terms of personal lifestyle and education quickly so I can finally assure myself that I will be contented with the final verdict of my results in both ways."

Went to help out Cindy @ the Tattoo Fair. Was working there for the full three days event. A huge eye opener. Many have asked me if I had seen a lot of typical "AH BENGs" @ the event the fact is NO. Apparently the crowd is filled with all ages. I always had interest with body art mostly likly gonna get mine done by Cindy before my 18 birthday hopefully.
Main Highlight: Chris Garver was there to autograph posters for fans.
